Doniphan County Growth & Development Fund

Specific Need

The primary purpose of this fund will be to provide support to community development in Doniphan County.

• This fund was created in 2017 from the money raised from the Total Solar Eclipse event in Doniphan County. After that event, the Doniphan County Economic Development Department and the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce wanted the profits from the Eclipse to go towards future countywide events and other opportunities that promote and support positive growth and development in the county. 

Mission

The mission of the Economic Development Department is to facilitate empowerment of residents and businesses; enhance quality of life and nurture growth in Doniphan County. 

The Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce strives to make Doniphan County a better place to live and work.

Profile

• Doniphan County Economic Development strives to create new jobs and enhance the personal income and tax base while promoting and developing new business opportunities within the county. In doing so, this also overlaps with Community Development for the County, which the department strives to aid and support.

• The purpose of the Doniphan County Chamber of Commerce is to promote the welfare and property of all businesses, institutions and citizens of Doniphan County. While assisting in meeting the needs of the community, the Chamber seeks to be a voice on critical issues, not only for the business and professional community, but it’s citizens as well. By collectively pooling energy, ideas and resources, much can be accomplished to assist our county in reaching its full potential. The Chamber needs interested, caring people like you to assist us in making Doniphan County a healthy, prosperous place to live and work.
